Looking for an escape?
Maybe you’ve got travel on the brain?
Maybe you’re planning your next vacation… or just fantasizing about it.
Well I’ve scoured the internet high and low for some of the coolest and unusual dream vacations.
Pretty Beach House
Pretty?? Pretty is an understatement. How about beautiful, gorgeous, or stunning?
The Pretty Beach House is located on Bouddi Peninsula, just north of Sydney Australia.
It’s a private guest house, located on seven and a half acres of land perched atop a mountain (more or less) and is surrounded by eucalyptus. It’s safe to say it’s very secluded.
Also, the property is waterfront, set high on top of the escarpment above Pretty Beach and located in the Bouddi National Park. With a lovely view of the Brisbane waters.
There’s only three one-bedroom pavilions (Treetops, Vayview, and Hideaway) that surround the Main House. The amenities include around-the-clock-service, king bedrooms, seperate dressing rooms, combustion log fires, in-house chef, treetop views of the sparkling Brisbane waters, private decks for sunbathing, a wine cellar, heated pool, and a stunning 38 foot yacht to explore the waters.

This is not for the traditional vacationer at heart. At this unique hotel guests can “camp out” in one of three outdoor caravans and huts for a more unconventional hotel stay to say the least. Don’t worry if that’s not your style and this hotel still seems pretty cool, you stay in a hotel room too. Located in Berlin it only costs 60 Euros a night (about $85). Check out more photos here!

Looks are completely deceiving when it comes to Utter Inn. For it certainly does not look like any type of dwelling. It looks like a floating life guard tower, or a floating boat tower, certainly not a floating inn, that’s for sure.
Well let me clear a few things up for you. This is an underwater hotel aquarium in a lake near Stockholm, Sweden. Yup, a hotel that’s underwater. I almost can’t believe it myself. Not only am I wondering what it’s like if it gets windy, but, what about those who are claustrophobic?
If you’re planning on stay at Utter Inn here’s what you can expect…
Guests arrive at the port of Västerås. Then they’re taken out to the hotel on Lake Maralen. The hotel is about 1 km off shore (about 0.62 miles). They’re given an inflatable boat, some instructions and are left alone. If the guest selected the deluxe version, they will get supper delivered to them in the evening.

This almost looks like the home of some comic book super villain. Someone like Mr. Freeze comes to mind. But regardless of my nerdiness, this hotel looks pretty awesome, though I imagine people lounging around in parkas or something.
Located in Québec, Canada this hotel is made up of 15,000 tons of snow and over 500 tons of ice. The ceilings are over 19ft high, and the furniture is carved out of blocks of ice. Every year the hotel is re-developed and takes about five weeks to complete.
